The BT Goldeneye Awards for 2007, organised by Business Eye magazine, have been launched.
The gala awards evening will take place at the Culloden Hotel on May 10th next year, with upwards of 400 entries expected for a comprehensive range of awards recognising achievement in technology.
For 2007, BT are back on board as Goldeneye's main sponsors working alongside the organising team at Business Eye, and a number of category sponsors have already signed up to add their support.
Among them are HP, Tourism Ireland, Flybe and Northgate.
2007 will mark the sixth staging of the Goldeneye Awards, which have grown beyond recognition in both stature and popularity through the years.
From relatively humble internet awards back in 2002, Goldeneye has developed to become the only major technology industry-related awards serving Northern Ireland….and one of the biggest business award schemes of any kind.
The 2006 Goldeneye Awards attracted just under 400 entries in total, and awards were presented to winners in some 16 different categories.
Seamus Magorrian, Head of Business Marketing at BT Ireland, says that the organisation is delighted to continue its successful association with the Goldeneye Awards.
Brenda Buckley of Business Eye, the organiser of Goldeneye, is confident that the awards will continue to grow.
"The huge number of entries which we received last year is testament to the success of Goldeneye, as is the numbers who attend our awards evening. It has turned into a popular event on the social front as well as the business one….and we're sure that 2007 will continue that trend."
There will be no less than 14 categories for Goldeneye 2007 including awards for IT Business, International Business, Export, Public Sector, IT Marketing and Education Technology.
