Chain Reaction Cycles, an online cycle equipment company based in Ballyclare, Co. Antrim has lifted Northern Ireland’s premier eBusiness award.
Alongside Belfast based internet specialists Export Technologies, who engineer the firm’s online activities, Chain Reaction won both the eCommerce category and the Web Award at the 2005 Goldeneye eBusiness Awards, sponsored by BT and organised by Business Eye.
Both companies received their awards from BT’s Head of eBusiness, James Devlin, and Brenda Buckley of Business Eye at a gala awards ceremony held in Belfast and compered by TV’s top presenter, Eamonn Holmes.
The Goldeneye Awards 2005 took place at Balmoral Conference Centre, Belfast, on Thursday, 14th April, 2005.
A total of almost 300 guests were welcomed by Richard Buckley, Editor of Business Eye, and James Devlin from BT Northern Ireland.
Entertainment following the event was provided by London-based magician, illusionist and hynotist Ian Keable, while the superb City of Belfast School of Music Band provided musical accompaniment to the champagne reception beforehand.
